Welding

Soldering of this alloy is rated as "good", brazing is rated as "good", oxyacetylene welding is "not recommended", carbon arc welding is rated as "good", gas shielded arc welding is rated as "excellent", and coated metal arc welding is rated as "good".

Heat Treatment

The stress relieving temperature of this alloy is 600 F or 316 C. The time at temperature is one hour per inch of section thickness. This alloy does not respond to heat treatment.
